2 TBSP finely ground coffee

2 TBSP of brown sugar

1 TBSP course salt

1 TBSP chili powder

½ TBSP Cumin

½ TBSP sweet paprika (if you would like a smokier flavor used smoked paprika)

½ TBSP Black Pepper – freshly ground

½ TBSP Garlic Powder

½ TBSP Onion Powder

½ tsp cayenne powder (adjust the amount to your heat preference)

1 tsp of cocoa powder

Whisk together and store in a sealed glass jar.  Sprinkle and rub liberally on beef, chicken etc.

Let the rub sit on the meat for at least 30 minutes (longer is better).

Also great -sprinkled in melted butter then brushed on corn before grilling.
