Farmer Dave’s is a 90-acre diversified fruit and vegetable farm based in Dracut, Massachusetts. Our mission is growing healthy food, building a strong community, and creating lifelong traditions. We focus on providing a healthy product for our guests, our workers, the soil, and our global environment. Our home farm and farm stand are located in Dracut, MA, which is open year-round. The East Street farm stand in Tewksbury, MA and Hill Orchard farm stand in Westford, MA are our two satellite farms. Farmer Dave’s participates in a dozen farmers’ markets, sustains a large year-round membership in our vegetable and fruit CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program, and offers PYO (Pick Your Own) experiences, including strawberries, peaches, blueberries, carrots, potatoes, flowers, and apples. Farm Stand Team Member

Position Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Year-Round Part-Time Farm Stand Team Member. This role is essential to the daily operation of our farmstand as well as the daily experience we provide our guests throughout all seasons. As a member of our team you will create a welcoming atmosphere, provide expectational guest experience, and ensure our farm stand reflects the quality, care, and energy of our farm.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly, inform them about special offers, new arrivals, ensure they find everything they need, and that all feel welcome.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a kind and professional manner.
- Sincerely thank guests for supporting our farm.
Sales and Transactions:
- Accurately process transactions using our Square Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of current pricing, discounts, and promotions.
- Handle cash, credit card, and SNAP transactions respectfully, responsibly and securely.
- Responsible for the safe, knowledgeable, and compliant sale of beer and wine, including verifying valid ID and ensuring all transactions meet state regulations.
Produce/Product Display and Stock Management:
- Rotate and grade produce to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs using replenishment practices.
- Ensure FIFO standards are strictly followed daily for dairy, bakery, prepared foods and pantry items.
- Ensure all products for sale are clearly priced.
- Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, faced, organized, dusted and visually appealing.
Farmstand Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, tidy, dusted, swept and inviting farm stand environment.
- Ensure signage and promotional materials are current and well presented.
- Perform daily routine maintenance such as sweeping, Windexing, sanitizing, and restocking supplies.
Team Collaboration:
- Work as a team to ensure all the above practices are successfully executed.
- Assist in packaging and preparing products for sale as needed.
- Support farm events and activities, including seasonal events and experiences.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 Years or older.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of agricultural products, seasonal produce, and local food systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. We consider working with a sense of urgency and hustle a superpower.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required by our growing business and seasonal demands.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shifts.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions as required by seasonal demands.

The kitchen is located at our home farm in Dracut MA, and produces goods for our two farm stands, a large year-round CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and up to a dozen farmers’ markets seasonally.
Job Description:
Commercial kitchen experience is preferred. This is a year-round position with hours typically decreasing slightly in the winter, but we are willing to discuss other opportunities with the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is confident in their ability, is able to adapt based on the needs of the business and can follow prep lists and tasks. The ideal candidate will possess the drive and creativity to craft and workshop new items within the current product lines. Our bakery and kitchen lines are constantly growing and changing, so growth opportunities are available!
Main duties:
- Prepare and bake scones and biscuits according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Scale, mix, shape, and bake doughs efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure consistent product quality.
- Perform morning production tasks, including early preparation of baked goods for opening.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking station and production areas.
- Assist with inventory tracking and notify management of low stock levels.
- Label and date products accurately for traceability and freshness.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Adapt to changing production needs and assist in other baking tasks as required.
